It’s short for “Ossification”, the natural process of bone formation undertaken by turtles to form their protective shells. We chose our name for two reasons: we design our bags and gear to emulate the protective nature of a shell, to protect the precious cargo that lies within. Secondly, to serve as a constant reminder of our commitment to nature. Criminally, sea turtles are at great risk to due human activity and continuous exploitation of nature in favor of quick profit. Placing our logo on every one of our products represents our word and commitment to making sustainable products.
We’d love to hear from you, here are the three best ways:
Our socks are slightly over-sized to ensure complete coverage of your board and accommodate our unique tail guard design. So choose your sock the same size as your board, if it’s not an exact match, go up to the next closest size. The drawstring cord and tailored curve ensure any slack is taken up when the sock is pulled closed.
We’re currently working on our next set of designs to fit longboard shapes, if your interested in a hardened sock for a longboard, please sign up to our mailing list for regular updates. Or get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org, we’d love to chat about our upcoming designs and get your feedback!
The short answer…. Almost Certainly..
We spent a lot of time researching and testing various blends of recycled polyester / spandex blends for this very reason. To give the ultra stretch properties needed to accommodate the widest of boards, whilst keeping a snug fit on the more narrower.
Our bags can comfortably fit a board 23 ¼ ″ wide with stretch to spare. If you have a board wider than this, please send us a picture alongside the dimensions to email@example.com and we’ll check it out.

You bet there is! Boards can be placed in the sock with the fins in - no need to remove them after a hard day's shredding.
If your board is going to stay in the sock for a long time, we recommend removing the fins and storing them in the internal pocket. There’s plenty of space in there for a couple of sets.
Our socks are handmade in the UK by experienced and skilled sewers.
Within five working days. Plenty of time to arrange a group surf session to show off your sick new sock!
Each sock is packaged in 100% recyclable paper packaging. You can take the sock out and place the packaging straight in the bin… the recycle bin that is!
Our packing is minimalist by design, it has everything needed to ensure your sock arrives pristine, but without all the flash and glam. The way we see it, it’s all going to end up in the bin 10 seconds after being opened, and by packaging this way we reduce both ours and yours impact on the planet. So you can feel good about opening your new sock!
Yes, of course.
We hope that you never have to see this, but if you're not 100% happy with your sock, we’ll either replace or refund your purchase without question. Please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org, we’ll do everything in our power to make it right.
